Title: A tree falls in the woods...

You all have heard it, "If a tree falls in the woods, does it make a sound?"
One wants to say, YES it does, reason, have you ever heard a tree fall that didn't make a sound?

But, I say NO, it does not make a sound. Why? This is why...

Granted, when the tree falls, it will make waves in the air, however, I present that unless these waves are received by a third source, example... an ear, it is not a "sound" Its simply waves in the air.

Now, I don't just expect you to take that in and agree with me without a real world example of this. Well, take a radio station. The station generates waves, these waves are all around us, but unless we have a third object, example, a radio, we cant hear the "sound" they have to be received by such. The same, In my mind, holds true to the tree in the woods.
